It wasn't solid? Did it fall on you?

Re: ?

Hello Beata...guess you had a bit of snow your way eh? Tubes form over running water....by the looks of this one from below, we thought it had formed at least a few inches thick which we need to support our body weight...two of us on this trip were willing to run that kind of ground out...but we ended up more worried about falling in it (I have done that once, a smart climber won't do it twice)....as it turned out to be about 1" thick if even... we know that when our picks punch through the curtain and we get soaked with water...actually standing where this photo is will get you soaked, but you cannot tell that from the pic...it is deceiving......what looks like dirt is a running water fall, the very left side of the tube might hold our weight but not much solid pro...we finally opted for a WI 5 variation out left....pics of that pitch coming tomorrow..tell Wikoria hi! Cheers
