The "view" from the summit of Mt Marcy on Good Friday 18/04/2003. Trail conditions were excellent. Early start helped. Snow on the trail was consolidated all the way to the top. We used crampons on the top section only. This only speeded up our ascent and were not really necessary. No postholing at all. Very windy as usual on the summit but the wind was warm. Lower sections of the trail were muddy in the late afternoon. Excellent day without the usual crowds. Nikon Cool Pix 5000. William Marler
