The view of the east side of Buck Mountain. The Northeast Face Route begins from the lake and bears right up the glacier to gain the rock gully below the notch between the two summits at right. To reach the 5,940-ft lake, one leaves the Buck Creek Trail at about 3,600 ft and climbs southwest up forested, open, and/or brushy slopes. September 2000.
