Where is this?It looks like an eagle or other large bird spreading its wings.

Eagle RockHeh heh, yes it sure does. In fact, it is called Eagle Rock. It is very impressive to see.. and really makes you wonder what native cultures thought of this formation.
It is located about 4 miles south of a town called Warner Springs, in southern California. It can be seen while traveling the Pacific Crest Trail. Warner Springs is very close to the well known Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.
One more cool thing about the Eagle is that it's head is pointed directly at a very peculiar mountain also. (I believe that mountain is approximately 4000ft. in elevation). Anyhow, if you are interested in visiting, let me know for further details!
