Yeah, WK, this peak looks pretty soft/harmless, but the prominence combined with limited accessibility, dense timber and LOTS of false summits = pain/fatique. ;)
My son and I climbed Thirty Nine Mile Mountain today. It took us 7 hours roundtrip. We started from County Road 59 in between 39 and Saddle Mountain. The false summits were definitely trying! Fair amount of snow up high. Not much of a view from the summit through the trees.
