Thorong La Pass

Mule caravan few meters below Thorong La Pass (5416 meters). Thorong La Pass is the main connection between significantly different Marshyangdi and Kali Gandaki valleys. Marshyangdi is mainly wet and green in comparison with Kali Gandaki, which is basically desert. Thorong La is also the highest point of Annapurna circuit trek, where oxygen level becomes noticeably low and without proper acclimatisation acute mountain sickness risk becomes high.
