Road needs help  Sucess!

I got nowhere need the Knox Creek TH- mostly due to the large amount of snow still on the road, but the road itself appeared to be a mess too. Even if there had been no snow, the road is so overgrown that you'd risk your paint driving to the TH. I had to walk miles of road just to get to the TH- and nearly missed it, because the TH sign has been destroyed.

Once at the TH, the snow disappeared for about 20 minutes, and then I lost the trail under the snow. Made my way directly up the ridge in three feet of snow. At the Knox/Thorp junction, I just followed the ridge to the summit. Would've bagged Knox but the trail was signed as closed due to fire damage.

Via Knox Creek Trail  Sucess!

Drove through rain across Snoqualmie Pass, to emerge in sun at the trailhead. Nice hike - short, steep, and sweet! Views from the top are amazing - Rainier to the south, Stuart to the east, and many, many other peaks in all directions!

Awesome Views!!!  Sucess!

I hiked this peak with fellow SPer "EastKing". The route we took was short (only 2.5 miles each way) but the views were superb... much better than expected. I am so happy we went, as it was one of the better vantage points I have seen from any mountain in that general region. Highly recommended.
