Still some snow up there
36 minutes up. With my brother.
Went up with Madelyn after being called off work. A little crowded for my liking, but we started late, so that was quickly fixed. A friend told me to go up West Tiger 3 to the summit, but the summit it wasn't! It was a bald outcropping covered with people and dogs (mostly cute, though)! After watching people dump gallons of water needlessly and birds being fed, we decided that it was time to find the true summit!
A slight descent from West Tiger 3, followed by a short gain, led to West Tiger 2. The summit was a microwave tower, so we weren't quite there yet. We saw a guy coming from the direction of what seemed to be the true summit and asked him where the true summit was. He asked a question back, "Which one, 1, 2, or 3?" He didn't even seem to know if he summited! The distinctions of peaks in these state parks is kind of goofy, with names giving directions and numbers before true details. Nevertheless, we found a dirt road to the top...to find a another microwave tower!
This one, though, had a view!
Great view of Seattle and the sound in one direction and the Cascades in the other!!! Well worth the fuss!
Climbed this mt. in what seemed like a hurricane. The weather was crazy. Trees and branches were falling, along with rain and snow. Fun, but crazy.
Its there, I went up
Another in the standards of workout/keep in shape hikes. Lots of ways to get up besides the standard freeway trail. Cable line/section line etc.
The best route is the cable line route find it and go as fast as you can.
Done this too many times
Done this countless times. Now its right in my backyard!
A fun one to try running up!
Nice little hike to do after work.
This was a winter snowshoe.
This is a good training hike if it is raining hard or you don't have a lot of time.
After 3 years of OSAT membership, this was my first time on the mountain.
I heard this would be a great hike. Sounds of planes overhead, motorcycles in the distance, cars as well. Hmmm. I don't need to go back.
Trudged up the long road to the highest Tiger summit... unfortunately the views here aren't nearly as good as West Tiger
