Tim and Eric's May 29 route
This is our route Starting May 28. Camped at marked point, and got 2-3 inches of snow overnight. Completed 2-mile loop (yellow) and hiked back out to East Vail on the 29th. Notice point on Gore Creek Trail where the snow hiking began. We didn't bring snowshoes or skis here, yet were able to make it with minimal post-holing. Temps were cool this trip which firmed up the snow nicely.
