August 2009, still a very crummy section on the East side. Began an attempt and it was sort of like climbing up and down cheesecake. May be possible, but would not be fun or safe. Go back to Timberline and get a bowl of soup.

Thanks for the beta. I don't have any idea when they will fix that trail. Until then, I guess hikers will have to muddle through. As for me running it, not likely until I have a real trail. It is long enough without any detours. :-)
