The huge cliffs that make up Cascade Cirque tower over Deer Creek Reservoir. I took this pic from near Deer Creek State Park in March 2005. Fuji Velvia 100 (altered to b&w). For a sense of scale, from the highest point on the summit ridge to the relatively flat basin floor below the massive cliffs is 1,900 feet (580 meters). And another 1,000 feet down the wide cirque's tongue to the cliffs just barley visible along the bottom of the pic.
