Nice page for an obscure peak. The whole surrounding area was covered with fog up the 4500 foot level. Is that common at this time of year?

No, it is not. Usually the humidity is extremely low in all seasons. Any photos of this? That would be spectacular!

Yeah I took a few, although I didn't post any on SP. I'll drop a note here when they make it up to my personal website...

I just realised I forgot to follow up on this. Anyway, if you're interested, you can take a look at http://www.snwburd.com/matthew/ - the photos are there under 12/18/2004. Let me know if there's anything there that you think would add to your page and I'll post it.

Hey Matthew,

In the "Pyramid/Tohakum Peak (Pyramid Lake Indian Reservation, NV)" series, photos #'s 7, 8, 13, 14 are great. I'd love to see those on the page.

FYI --- fog usually only occurs in the river valleys (of which there are few), and then not very often. These photos are "cool & unusual".

Thanks for remembering!

Done (although I think I may have uploaded the zoomed view of Tohakum from Pyramid by mistake). The first one I put on the Pyramid East Ridge page, the others I placed under the Overview section on your page. Thanks.

Good page. Just noticed the Ted Nugent Canyon filled with clouds. Looks pretty cool.

Haha! TED Nugent? That's funny. I imagine the Nugent in question was some early rancher on the east slopes.....

Permits

Nice page. You can purchase your day permit at: http://www.plpt.nsn.us/rangers/htmls/permits.html
Right now they're $6.00 and good from sun up to sun down.
