InterestingMy first impression was that it looks fake... but apparently it's not. Wow. Awesome. It's interesting to me that the horizon has sunset-like colors... is that usual for solar eclipses?

EnvyJust yesterday I wanted to observe a total eclipse from a mountain on Yakushima in Southern Japan and ended up in the clouds. Total solar eclipses are even better than mountaineering. But the best is of course a combination of both.

Stunning photoI have seen many photos of eclipses. I think what makes this one stand out (it almost looks fake) is the absolute clarity and richness in colours only possible at high altitudes. Many thanks for sharing this for the mere mortals that will not get a chance to experience this live. Cheers!
