Terrific! Thanks for sharing this. It reminds me of a similar trip I took when in Marrakech. I was traveling with two Britsh couples I met on the ferry from Spain (which in itself was a complete lark). I suggested an overnight trip to Toubkal and one guy said yes. The guy from the other couple looked interested but his girlfriend shot him a look and he declined. We caught a cab and were able to hike to the Neltner Hut that same day. We had no outdoor gear with us and the next morning hiking to the summit was so cold we put on all the clothes we had. We hiked all the way back day and were able to catch a ride back to town that afternoon. A wonderful, memorable trip.

Sounds like a fun trip you had. Spontaneous trips/climbs are often the best ones. You should write a TR about it :-) Thanks for your comment.
