Wonderful

Looks like Lar Lake is completely frozen. The peak on the left must be Gole-Zard. The farthest peak on the right must be the north face of Tochal. I can even seem Mehrchal & Atash Kooh on the right side of the picture.

Re: Wonderful

During the days that we were in there weather was completely clear and actually pretty warm in lower altitudes but the Lar dam lake was completely frozen and actually there were amazing formations of snow on the ice surface." as far as we could see from where we were" and i guess the reason was the dramatic temperature drop during the night " during day +20c during night as low as -25c !" and severe colds prior to the time that we got in there. "temps as low as-20 , -25 even during the day brrrrr!" i can say thet this year's winter passed by pretty harder than the years before.
By the way i didn't hear from your friend Anne any further about their trip to Damavand.
anyway........take care and have fun
