Rough Class 3

Scotty,

I attempted Montgomery today from Boundary. I think you underestimate the difficulty on your route page. It is tough class 3 for much of the ridge, and the final stretch is tough class 3 at the end. There is a lot of loose scree. I would appreciate if you considered revising your description to account for this difficulty. We had a really hard time today.

Best regards

Re: Rough Class 3

Heh, you should try it with unconsolidated snow sometime if you really want a workout. Difficulty is due to loose nature, not steepness in my opinion. A class 3 rating would be misleading, but I appreciate your effort! I hope you made it to the top...

Tough Class 3? Are you kidding me?! Maybe you're just too use to sea level Class 1. That route didn't even get my heart rate up. wow

Re: Rough Class 3

Actually, I live in Reno, NV. At the time, the route we took seemed impossible. But with more experience, I could probably go back and find it a little easier. I think we were worn out.
