Treasure Flower (Gazania linearis)

This flower belongs to the Asteraceae family, genus Gazania, that are native to Southern Africa but have been introduced and cultivated in many other parts of the world, including California. Seen in the Santa Monica Mountain in Southern California.

I did some reading and I think...

...it is called "Treasureflower", Gazania linearis. It certainly belongs to the genus Gazania within the Asteraceae family.
