Triftgrat / Rotgrat  Sucess!

The route in the shorter, direct variant is named "Rotgrat" and advertised as a "Geheimtipp" by the hut warden. Indeed we met only one single climber on that route, whereas dozens of parties climbed the other normal routes.
The "Triftgrat" as the integral version is an undertaking some hours longer; I can't judge if it is more rewarding or not.

We had good conditions, even in early summer and after a lot of snow in winter and spring this year.
Approach is marked very well with yellow paint and glass grains in, so you cannot miss it even in fog or darkness. One (good) hour till start.
The short rock passage (approx. 50-60m) up to the ridge is bolted, but the rock is very rotten so avoid to climb under someone else. And in case do not wait right under the flank but stay away from it...
The slabs on the ridge following are easy and beautiful climbing in a tremendous landscape.
