Interesting!

Is it because of a lot of fossil findings that they are named Trilobite Lakes?

Trilobites

The lakes take their name from the Trilobite Range. This range does have a lot of limestone rock some of which contains trilobites. We climbed trilobite peak but could find no fossil trilobites even though we spent a lot of time looking.
