Trinity Divide

The Seven Lakes Basin from the summit of "Many Lakes Mountain". Only 5 of the 7 lakes are visible in this image. One, the smallest of the 7 is hidden in the trees and Helen Lake, the highest in the basin, is outside the frame to the right. Boulder Peak rises high above Echo Lake on the left. Beyond towers the magnificent Grey Rocks and the crest of the Southern Divide. In the distance is Crater Peak and Lassen Peak. The old jeep trail that leads down into the basin from the PCT is obvious. June2012.
