A Fine Day in MayAn outstanding day with Erik Siering and Bob Sumner. Warmth of the day made it a bit harder. Erik wrote an excellent report (in DPS and HPS Archives and accessible via Climber.org)

'Bout HalfwayAbout 3 years ago, started out kinda late knowing that we wouldn't get all the way. But sure got a feel for the terrain. I do think this one and Iron's North Ridge are the two toughest "day" hikes in the San Gabriels.

from Buckhornafter an unsuccessful try in 2009, finally made it up this bad boy. A very brutal traverse along the ridge - fighting through brush and climbing actually made my arms tired. But it's worth it.
