When this shot was taken there was no need to make the powder fly. In fact he was just going straight in this picture. After the shot he said, "Damn dude, that snow is so deep that I could not even make a turn".
Usually though he is good and making the not so deep stuff look better than it is. Must be why we got a coupla sponsers?

a few sponsors ... his moves are incredible.
There's nothing like skiing the deep backcountry snow of the Wasatch, even if it
has a wet, granular layer on top.
