Tullen summit view to the grassy dome of the nearby Großer Gabler (2576m)

Großer Gabler (2576m) is just 4 km from the summit of Tullen. I was up there a week or so before, but though the weather that day started out alright, by the time I was approaching the summit, it started to rain, and I couldn't see Tullen or the Aferer Geisler anymore! Today it's sunny and dry, and visibility is a whole lot better. Far, far away even the glaciated slopes of the easternmost Zillertal Alps can be seen, albeit that the summits themselves are shrouded in clouds. These distant mountains are about 45 km away. 17 Aug 2014.
