Uh Oh! Not good.

Uh Oh! Not good.

When camping in Glencoe this year strong winds snapped one of my poles on my 4 man tent at 3 in the morning. Quick fix in the dark done me till the morning but didn't expect it to look this bad at first light. Glad I was going home that day.

Boydie ?

When all else fails, get a hammer.
When that fails, get a bigger hammer.
Best wishes, Boydie! : - )

Re: Boydie ?

Unfortunately the problem was with the wind and the snapped pole. Felt like I was getting hit with a hammer with the poles and canvas smacking me on the head all night!

Watch out!

It looks like you had it tied down pretty good. There could have been too much stress on the pole that snaped! Were
all the sections tied down?

I had that happen once on Mt.
Hood in 50 mph winds.

cheers

Re: Watch out!

Yeah, had some rocks for some extra support as it was so windy, so may have over cooked it! Tried to fix it in the dark but gave up and just went back to sleep. To tired to care about the thing flapping in my face.
Take care
Stephen
