Marc ...

Just curious, did Uncle Willie have a booming
business at one time ???

The economy, right?

Re: Marc ...

I think that he did not offer enough vegetarian stuff, therefore he went out of business...

Re: Marc ...

The economy, righto.
Well, if Uncle Willie ever had a booming business at this location, it must have been long before my time. I figure I'm old enough to remember, but I don't.
Nice to hear from you, Larry,

Re: Marc ...

Please, I have a final comment ...

Why does it cost so much to grow vegetables
these days? Surely, Uncle Willie had a very
fresh & innovative idea back then ...

This makes me want to drive the extra mile
to Trader Joe's for some organic pizza !!!

Re: Marc ...

Well, Uncle Willie's mistake was to try to grow vegetables in an arid area like Joshua Tree. May be he should have sold organic pizza from Trader Joe's.

Re: Marc ...

Looks to me like Uncle Willie didn't pay for protection with Jack Dragna's boys from LA!

Re: Marc ...

Never heard of the dude. I guess he must've been some kind of mob boss.

Re: Marc ...

Dragna was boss of the LA mob back in the 50's. They were also known as the "Mickey Mouse Mafia" because they didn't much power compared to the Chicago and New York families who controlled Las Vegas.
