Unnamed Peak, Iron Creek Trail Aug. 2008

This is one of the sights you'd see on the Iron Creek Trail, en route to Sawtooth Lake. I cannot find any reference to a name, elevation, etc. to this peak, but put the GPS coordinates as close as to where I think this peak is.

South Branch of Iron Creek

The canyon of this branch of Iron Creek between Merritt Peak and Alpine Peak is a great hike. I kept to the center of the forks and circled small lake 8470, which is on the other side of this prominent northwest spur of Merritt. Watch for a faint path on the other side of the meadow and to the left (East) of the falls. Point 9801, centered here, is only 60 ft. less than Alpine Peak. The distant point at upper left is part of Merritt Peak, 10312.
