Unnamed (!), up the Big Creek Drainage

What a sight! This unnamed Bitterroot Mountains beauty is up Big Creek, in the same general area as Ranger Peak and the Heavenly Twins.

Question

Vernon,

How far up the creek did you snowshoe? I think I know where this photo was taken, but can't be sure without knowing how close to the Big Creek Lakes you were.

Re: Question

Quite a ways. Big Creek Lake, and Ranger Peak, were not far around the bend.

Re: Question

I think the peaks in the photo are (left to right) Point 8702, 8651, & 8535. It's impossible to tell without knowing exactly where the picture was taken, but they look familiar to me.

Re: Question

Probably you're right, Mike. Tim was thinking that Old Stormy would be next peak to the left, just out of the frame.
