The easiest way to get up parts of Reventador is climbing along one of its many recent but inactive lava flows. While it might seem inviting to try to work your way through the vegetation instead, note that that is just actually just vegetated lava and actually harder to traverse as you can't see all the holes waiting to eat your legs.
