Up Elbow Canyon

Up Elbow Canyon

This spot looks pretty benign in this shot but it was a lot trickier than it appears. It had a big rock step that was more of a problem going downhill than up. I had Dennis spot me through this section and I was able to get the proper line. This is at around the 4000' level and is probably around the half way mark. In my opinion, the road really started getting worse from this point on. The pass is at 6400' so you gain 2400' in the next three miles.
