Upper East Ridge

Upper East Ridge

The upper East Ridge from the Niblock-Whyte col, showing the ledges that can be traversed to bypass the crux rockband of Whyte's East Ridge. The greenish coloured ones are the easiest. 4th class scrambling leads through the break in the rockband and back up and left through precarious LOOSE blocks to the summit ridge. The upper part of Mt Temple in the background looking very dry.
