Urus Central from the south east

Urus Central from the south east

Urus consists of the three mountains Urus Oeste, Urus Central and Urus Este. This day we were heading for Urus Este, by far the most popular one. Later I would be back with the intention of climbing Central, without knowing the normal route, or even how difficult it would be. Central has a ridge running roughly east to west. What appears to be the summit in this view is the easternmost part of the summit ridge. Later I learned that the true summit is on the western side of this ridge on Central, and the summit ridge is definitely not easy. The true summit is not visible; even if it were not hidden by clouds, it would be a bit further to the left of this photo. 28 June 2011.
