Drank plenty of beers! Pretty fun place, I've never been to the Oregon coast before. I had no idea it was that popular.
Skimboarding is where you throw this mini surfboard out onto about 1 inch of water, then run and jump on the thing and try to glide gracefully down the sand. The key word is "try". :-) Landed on my ass and did face plants into the sand several times! Harder than it looks. I, of cource, went all out of my first try and chucked the thing then sprinted onto it.
Probably some nice entertainment / laughs for the people nearby. :-)
