Our rope team alone at the summit of Mount Hood at 5:30 AM on June 1, 2008. Perfect day for climbing. Spectacular views. We were met by about 200 climbers ascending as we went down the mountain. We were happy that we started early. I like this photo because it captures the feeling of being on the summit all alone with the cold wind and far-reaching views. Photo by J. Guntermann.
