I love climbing in TuolumeThe first time I climbed there was 1976. We climbed The Open Book crack. Where the first pitch was stemming and chimney climbing up to the first belay with no protection. The belay was a cut log about 2 ft. long pounded into a solid point between the crack. We were able to stand on it and belay from it but just wanted to hurry up and get done with the next pitch. Althuogh very thankful for those who put it there for us and others. What can I say but one bitchin climb. Hope you have many of them

Re: I love climbing in TuolumeHi Jerry! That's cool, you first climbed in TM in 1976. That's the year my partner started climbing as well. I think climbing keep you young. We may not be as "gutsy" as we were back then but we're still climbing our brains out. :) Thanks for your comments and stories.
