Nice new profile ImageDid that lady in your old profile image ever make it to the roof? Well, I'm just kidding, but I used to climb the buildings at the UC Santa Barbara many years ago.
Happy climbing, Lisa,
Marc

Re: Nice new profile ImageThanks! I was happy to be up out of the canyon before it really started to snow.
My dh went to UCSB. He never said anything about buildering to me. Did you see the film by the Front Range Freaks about buildering? Scary, fun stuff.

Re: Nice new profile ImageNo, I didn't. In fact I've never even heard of them. I hope there is a video. Thanks for the tip.
Buildering at UCSB gave me a lot of skills that I was able to use in Yosemite and other places. There are great laybacks and one great squeeze chimney. Also a number of hand cracks in the music building.

"Urban Ape"is the title of the film that I am thinking, in the Front Range Freaks video. There is a sequence where Timmy O'Neill chimneys up the out side of a dorm. Very funny!
The rest of the video is worthwhile too.

May I please"intervene" on the "chit-chat" session?
Buildering? Sounds interesting, but I've
never participated vertically. Only in my
dreams... I did watch the movie "Spiderman." Does that count?
(Buildering is a really cool word. Good use
of words, most certainly gets 10/10!) : )))

LOL!Try googling buildering...I'd never try it because I am a chicken about falling on hard concrete. but I knew I was a climber when I started looking at the walls of a cafe and thinking about climbing them.
I didn't see
Spiderman.
