I see...

hiking shoes being used for the East Buttress, 5.9. I know that most of the climb is 3rd and 4th class, but some of those cracks on the East Buttress are 5.9. Did you guys change to climbing shoes at some point, or did you do the whole thing in hiking shoes?
I see Iceberg Lake down there.

I think that we were able to keep to 5.7ish terrain at the hardest. There are many ways to go. Those are Michael's shoes he only puts on climbing shoes when he gets real serious. Me on the other hand, I was wearing my climbing shoes the entire route and glad of it!
