Re: Photoshop?my dear this shoot taken with the film cammera (slide film velvia iso 50)this is multiple exposure first i expose the moon with 200mm tele lens than overlap the whole frame with 19mm lens .thare is no phroshop tecnique adopted on this image,remmber this is 100% original photo.

Re: Photoshop?Okay, so you exposed your film slide to the Moon separately. The point is that the Moon was in a different location in the sky and not in this frame. This would have been a shot without the Moon.

Re: Photoshop?Well, that was my point to begin with. The Moon does not belong in this photo. It doesn't matter if you use photoshop to add something to scene, or if you expose the film twice in different locations. I personally like to see photos that are real, not manufactured using different techniques.

Here is one simple question, was the Moon there,above the Hispar Pass, in that exact same spot, when you took this shot? Or, as you put it, it was behind you?

C'monThere is nothing wrong with that technique. Many gorgeous photos published in various outdoor magazines or available for purchase are collages. In my opinion, it's in the "artist's" discretion to enhance the scene to the point where it conveys his or her view. Most incredible photos in Outdoors magazines are HDR photography which are all processed, superimposed images.

Re: C'monWell Guido, then I guess I'll have to chalk this up to the matter of opinion. If you like this technique, then I have no doubt you will love the photo that is about to become POTW. In that one the photographer has taken a few artistic liberties as well. Who am I to judge!

Re: C'monMarc, of course everybody is entitled to his or her opinion and liking of that "technique". I know many who don't like it. I am merely saying that it is common practice and taught in photography classes/workshops and books from professionals.

I like it!I know exactly how the author feels, even if the moon was a ways to the side. If the photo were then zoomed out you loose a lot of the subject, plus if they were out on a expedition they need to get some good rest rather than staying up all night just so it would be in that one spot. This photo wins my respect. Thanks for sharing.
