I had to track over snow 4 ft deep and hope I did not step off the trod path into the snow. kinda nice though when I got to the lake and found that my new height gave me a better view into the mtns above the lake. An avalanche took out half of Mt. Cannon on the East facing slope and excess snow as well as debris landed on Mt. Brown obliterating the real trail to the lake. Alot of trees pushed down into and across the creek, some were tossed up Mt. Brown and took down more trees-big trees. I got a few pics but my camera is small and too much snow and what not kept me from getting close enough.-NO I was not a witness to the event --wish I was but glad I wasn't if you know what I mean!!!!!
