A Little About Me
I became interested in mountains when I saw the Kanchenjunga massif from Darjeeling in the early 1970s. Though hampered by the usual roadblocks of life (looking for a job, living far from the mountains, marriage and parenting a kid, trying to make ends meet, etc.), I did mange to trek in the Indian and Nepal Himalaya as well as do some mountaineering between 1978 to 2001. Immigrating to Canada put a serious hiatus in my Himalayan wanderings, though compensated by the beautiful mountains of British Columbia.
