Minnesotan born and raised. I've also lived in Germany, Virginia, North Carolina, Washington (Seattle), and currently am in Edmond, OK.

I love getting in the mountains and am typically aiming for a peak. It's flat in Oklahoma, but I seem to at least get a few chances a year to go vertical.

Highest I've been in Mt. Elbert, the top of Colorado, which I did as a winter hike. Most epic outing was a Rainier attempt on the Kautz route, where we got 18 inches of snow at high camp and had avy alarms going off while we were on the ice section and had to retreat. Never good when helicopters are flying by to rescue people who had been stuck on the summit!
