Hike, ski, scramble, snowshoe (if I must), follow on rock to 5.7 and ice to WI3. I describe myself as a solid beginner aspiring to be a world-class intermediate (tongue in cheek). After years of hiking and skiing I did some mountaineering and rock courses in order to expand where I could go. I'm knowledgeable and well-practiced with rope and protection systems. Have climbed a few easy Cascade volacanoes - Hood, Adams, St Helens etc. - and have been climbing easy rock in the East for a year. My main goals are to get out regularly, have fun, keep improving, and to begin leading easy ice this winter. Am neither a poseur nor a hardman. -Stephen
