Valle dell'Asino. 'Donkey Valley'. Seen from the top of Pizzo San Martino(2733m). The biggest of the lakes in the photo is called Sfondato, 'broken through' lake. The summit in the background is called Madrigal and the pass on its right is Lamè pass. Two of the most followed route to San MArtino summit come from Asino Valley and Lamè pass and then climb the SE ridge, on the left of the lakes, not visible here.
