Various Ice Routes in Vail

A gorgeous setting for some amazing ice/mixed climbing in Vail, CO. I wish I were better so that I could get on some of those single cicles hanging from the top!! Route on far left is the Ridgid Designator (needs two ropes to rap) and the route to the left of the tree patch is the Thang 2-10-07.

A little longer

Just a heads up, the Ridgid Designator is quite a bit longer than 85 feet because it is impossible to top rope with a 60m rope. You need two ropes or belay from the top. Don't want you to get all the way up there only to realize you need two ropes!

Re: A little longer

Sorry, now that I think about it my partners did use two ropes to rap. Thanks for the heads up, it has been changed!
