Velino - at the step and the Traverse

Numerous times and solo, I crossed the traverse, to the rear, when it was hard and crusted. Though when iced, cutting steps became more serious. One time it was like armour and I could only cut inch-wide steps. Sense called a retreat as I nearly lost it, being a slide and a fall line. I don't play Russian Roulette. With crampons, the challenge is gone.
