This photohardly does justice to the magnificent park of Versailles, with its many fountains, myriads of sculptures, and flowers! If you had come a month later, riding a bike in the park might also have given you a first-hand knowledge of the French police or gendarmes, more likely.

Re: This photoYou are right! Versailles was absolutely amazing. We were there in late June and I believe because it was the evening (after the inside was closed) that allowed us to ride our bikes around. Certainly allowed us to see more of that beautiful place though.
