Vertainspitze (3545m) and Angelusscharte

Vertainspitze (3545m) and Angelusscharte

A climber on the upper NW-ridge of Hoher Angelus. To the left of the climber a ridge goes down towards the left. This ridge has to be followed down to reach the Angelusscharte (3335m). The Angelusscharte is the saddle between Angelus and Vertainspitze. From this scharte one enters the glacier: Laaser Ferner. The peak in the clouds is Vertainspitze (3545m) and the ridge going up to the right, starting from the Angelusscharte, is the East ridge. The Rosimjoch is just outside this photo to the left.
