After a morning scramble up Arrow from camp at the beaver pond near Elk Creek, the weather was still good so I took the easy way up Vestal. Worst part was getting up to and down from the saddle up terrible scree.
Took the train and hiked in with John the day before. We both solod the route and had incredible displays of fall color! Fun route
With Eric. Had it to ourselves, nice weekend, done.
Arrow first, then Vestal, rewarding day!
That's why it's a classic! The descent was not TOO bad until the saddle with Arrow. We heard later that we should've gone over to the Arrow side of the saddle for this descent.
6/12/13- Via Wham Solo. 2 hours up 1 hour down
From camp @ Vestal Lake. Scrambled up Arrow afterwards.
Solo of Wham Ridge. Passed the "crux" before I even knew it was there. Nice, constant scrambling.
Peak #6 of 31 on 10 day trip.
Not nearly 5.4, and mostly class 3, but still a sweet route. Trip report.
Solo climb of Wham Ridge on a day trip from Molas TH. Descended via South Slopes route and "Dues Collector" in light rain. Stellar climbing on Wham Ridge, descent is not so great.
heinous approach with great climbing, 5.4, and amazing weekend with Liba
central shift on Wham, easy and fun, with Rockclimber 77
w/ C. Treiber, J. Sheldon, N. Omalley & D. Haumschild. What a bachelor party!
Started with the direct,3rd, 4th class, then Climbed the Wham ridge. The last 500 feet was loose class 4. The down climb, was not as bad as some say CLASSIC CLIMB!
Absolutely amazing climb! Loved it.

Wham ridge is a personal favorite
Mid July 2010 - I don't know how anyone can see a picture of Vestal, and not immediately hop in the car, drive to the trailhead, and climb the thing. Wham ridge was one of the best scrambles of my life, on one of the most scenic mountains.
Via Wham Ridge. See TR. Awesome route!
Climbed directly up the center. Seemed like the most fun and it was! Did 8 pitches, about half of them simul-climbing.
