Granite Chief/Needle/Lyon
Started from Granite Chief trailhead. Ascended via Granite chief and pacific crest trails then well worn use trail to Granite chief summit.Followed ridgeline to Needle and Lyon, if you stay high on the ridge you will encounter knee high brush with hidden boulders, class II scrambles and infrequent game trails, plan on routefinding and bushwacking. Descended via emigrant pass and Squaw Valley ski roads. GPS showed 15.5 miles total.
