View from the lower slopes of
North Velebit (around 300m) and the
Adriatic Road towards the
Prvic (354m) island. Right of it is southernmost part of largest Croatian island
Krk (568m). In the bay between bare sides is large group of white dots; that is
Baska town on Krk. Behind the green valley top part of distant
Ucka (1394m) mountains is visible. Left of Prvic is very short stretch of very long
Cres (650m) island. Islands are bare because of
Bura wind that blows from Velebit.
Lonely Planet says that
Croatian Adriatic Road (800km) is one of the
most beautiful drives on the planet. Such view is one of infinite number of reasons why; section along the coast of
Velebit is among most beautiful.
