View into the Crater

Fort Rock was given to the State of Oregon by Reuben A. Long and his wife. Reub was a cowboy philosopher. There is a plaque at the state park with some of his wisdom. One of my favorites--"Give advice sparingly, it is seldom wanted and little used, besides, you might run out just when you need it most yourself."
